How Michael and Claudia Met
Michael and Claudia met for the first time in the spring of 2011 while watching the Dallas Mavericks compete in the NBA playoffs. Michael had organized a gathering at Frankie’s Sports Bar in Fort Worth to watch that night’s game. Through a mutual friend, Claudia was invited to join, and so began their story. They ended up talking and joking around for most of the night! There is no denying something was there between them that night. So while this was the true first meeting, and both of them were intrigued and attracted to each other, sadly, the timing of the meeting was not right and they parted ways that night as acquaintances.
Fast forward two years... On a Saturday in spring, April 6th, 2013 to be exact, Michael and Claudia coincidentally attended that same mutual friend’s birthday party that year. It was a themed 80’s party where Claudia had crimped her hair and had on a neon pink skirt! Once Michael and Claudia realized and remembered that they had met two years prior, they began talking and became inseparable. They both knew that second chances like this do not come around often.
They continued to talk daily and had their first double date to a Dallas Stars game with friends of Michael’s just three days after the party. Michael also knew that he needed to have an elegant one on one date planned as well. So before the game he made reservations for the following night to take her to St. Emilion, a French restaurant in Fort Worth. This is where they shared their first bottle of wine together, a 2006 Heitz Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. Just as a lot of couples have “their song”, this became “their wine”.
After that night, Michael and Claudia saw each other every day. These two individuals were made for each other and deserved a second encounter. So as fate would indeed have it, they fell in love!
